Increase soil health, increase water infiltration, increase yield and increase profitability.
- Do you have issues with Non-Wetting Sands?
- Need to work in lime or both?
- Are you developing new country?
- Getting country ready for new layouts or need to
- renovate rough pasture country?
Tiny 390XL has all the features of the Tiny 390 with the added weight and strength of the XL frame which is fitted to both the 390XL and the 460XL.
The frame is longer, hydraulics upgraded, transport height is greater and the 250 x 150 x 16mm RHS frame is laminated between a 12mm thick top plate and a 20mm bottom plate.
Designed and Manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions the 390XL features 36″ scalloped discs giving a 345mm clearance and a consistent working depth of approx 250mm.
Consistent mixing of soil and busting open of hard pans is easy with this piece of equipment. If you require extra depth then have a look at Tiny XL460.
Increased choice of gang angles offers from 10 degrees through to 30 degrees allowing 390XL to be set up for many varied conditions. 3.5m transport width and available in 24 plate to 44 plate models in working widths from 4.8m to 8.5m.
Twist Out Bearing
Maximum reliability, minimum downtime and ease of maintenance. Grizzly’s twist in/out bearings and bearing housings with 6 bolt disc assembly. 2 year warranty on bearings. Never pull discs apart to change a bearing again.
Patented ‘T’ Bar Scraper
Grizzly Floppy “T” Bar Scraper system has proven over time to control soil and trash build up on axle spools. They allow you to continue working in all conditions. Get into a wet paddock earlier.
Hydraulic Pitch Control
Enables the set up of the machine to be fine tuned from the tractor seat. Helping to ensure a level finish. Springs give inbuilt solid impact protection and ground following ability.
Various Wheel Options
You can choose from a range of tyre types and sizes to suit your application. 28ply aero tyres shown.
Impact Safety
Accumulators on the hydraulic pitch control allow the machine to follow contours and help absorb impacts from underground obstacles without putting excessive stress on frame and components.
Articulated Tongue
Heavy duty fully articulated tongue gives a close tolerance connection with the tractor minimising wear and allowing for smoother operation.
Tool Box & Tool Kit
To ensure all the tools you need to perform maintenance activities on your machine are always close at hand.
Heavy Duty Componentry
Bolt on / Bolt off stub axles and wheel legs allows for serviceability in the field if required. Lockable and greasable hydraulic ram pins with hardened bushes ensure years of trouble free service.
Narrow Transport
Fold to 3.5 metres (11’5”) for transport or narrow gateways. Goes easily from working position to transport position.
Hydraulic Level Lift
Hydraulic level lift ensures the machine lifts out and enters the ground evenly, adding to operator ease, comfort and the performance of the machine.
Hydraulic Safety
Counter balance valves for added safety in case of a burst hose as well as relief valve to ensure no undue stress is placed on componentry.
Road Transport Options
Oversize sign, tow hitch, tail lights and spare tyre for operators doing road travel or if working in conditions that increase the chances of getting a flat.
Australian Made
Family owned and operated as well as Australian Designed and built for Aussie farmers and Aussie conditions.
Aussie Made

Rear Seeder Platform
Seeder platform allows mounting of rear small seeds seeder to over sow grasses when doing pasture renovation work.
Heavy Duty Rollers
A view from above shows the heavy duty double rollers. There are two on each gang that run on a stainless steel track. Easily moved from transport to working position plus easy to change gang settings.
28” to 42” Discs
Choose the right machine for the job and get the disc size that will work for you in your conditions.
Hydraulic Hose Protection
For conditions where a lot of timber and other organic matter will be encountered. Protects hydraulic hoses on the pull up to the top of the frame.
Hydraulic Fold
Go from working position to folding position without leaving the cab. The ultimate game changer for operator ease and comfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Grizzly Tiny XL 390 has a longer and stronger mainframe than the standard Grizzly Tiny 390. It uses the same mainframe as the Grizzly Tiny XL 460, with the longer frame designed to handle the machine’s increased size and load capacity and fits in larger wheel equipment.
The Grizzly Tiny XL 390 can work consistently to around 250mm deep and is designed to cultivate soil effectively at that depth. If consistent working depths beyond 250mm are required, Grizzly recommends moving up to the Grizzly Tiny XL 460.
The additional weight allows the Grizzly Tiny XL 390 to achieve the required working depth with less gang angle in hard and tough-to-penetrate country. This can potentially reduce the pulling requirement, allow faster operation and leave a finer finish.
Yes. The Grizzly Tiny XL 390 is used by farmers and contractors for breaking hard pans and working virgin or timber regrowth country. Its heavier construction and large discs are suited to this type of demanding work.
The Grizzly Tiny XL 390 uses 36-inch diameter and ½” thick discs, which are approximately 910mm in diameter and are 12.7mm thick.
Options include oversize sign and tail lights, front soil deflectors, a rear tow hitch, spare wheel, non-pneumatic tyres, bolt-on filler discs and a crumble roller. The XL 390 also uses larger 400/80 – 24 (20PR) wheels. Gang bearing shields are fitted as standard.
Grizzly limits each disc assembly to three discs to reduce the load placed on each bearing. This helps extend bearing life, makes bearing maintenance easier and provides greater strength for the gang frame and end plates connecting the disc axles to the frame.
Grizzly limits each disc assembly to three discs to reduce the load placed on each bearing. This helps extend bearing life, makes bearing maintenance easier and provides greater strength for the gang frame and end plates connecting the disc axles to the frame.
The gang angles are adjusted by undoing the two bolts connecting each gang to the mainframe, moving the gang to the required setting and bolting it back into position. A removable gang stopper helps operators select and repeat the desired setting.
For the 24-plate configuration, Grizzly indicates around 300 horsepower as a minimum. For a 44-plate machine, Grizzly recommends 550 horsepower or more, depending on the tractor or bulldozer being used and the operating conditions.
The hydraulic pitch control and accumulators allow the machine to lift or follow the contours when it encounters underground obstacles. The heavier XL 390 can also cut through many obstacles, including hard rocks, while the pitch system provides additional movement when required.
