Mix Soils For Non Wetting And Development

390mm (15”) spacings gives more weight per disc and great clearance for trash and soil flow when comparing with the Tiny 290 although almost all other features remain the same.
The advantage of the wider spacings and the greater weight per disc is more depth can be achieved when conditions are tight and hard to penetrate and at the same time greater soil and trash flow.
This spacing was originally developed for applications where breaking through hard pans and mixing and incorporating lime, clay and non-wetting sand was the key objective.
This machine has since found its place in working in new country and suckers. Due to the wider spacings when working in cloddy , tight grazing country the finish is a little rougher than the Tiny 290, however some operators want this type to finish to keep clod size larger to ensure more rain holds and penetrates into the subsoil.
3.5mtr transport width in sizes from 24 plate through to 44 plate in working widths from 4.81m through to 8.5m

Twist Out Bearing
Maximum reliability, minimum downtime and ease of maintenance. Grizzly’s twist in/out bearings and bearing housings with 6 bolt disc assembly. 2 year warranty on bearings. Never pull discs apart to change a bearing again. Easily changed in field.
Patented ‘T’ Bar Scraper
Grizzly Floppy “T” Bar Scraper system has proven over time to control soil and trash build up on axle spools. They allow you to continue working in all conditions. Get into a wet paddock earlier.
Hydraulic Pitch Control
Enables the set up of the machine to be fine tuned from the tractor seat with hydraulic front to back levelling. Hydraulic accumulators also let the machine follow undulations.
Various Wheel Options
You can choose from a range of tyre types and sizes to suit your application.
Articulated Tongue
Heavy duty fully articulated tongue gives a close tolerance connection with the tractor minimising wear and allowing for smoother operation.
Tool Box & Tool Kit
To ensure all the tools you need to perform maintenance activities on your machine are always close at hand.
Heavy Duty Componentry
Bolt on / Bolt off stub axles and wheel legs allows for serviceability in the field if required. Lockable and greasable hydraulic ram pins with hardened bushes ensure years of trouble free service.
Narrow Transport
Most models fold to 3.5 metres (11’5”) for transport or narrow gateways. Goes easily from working position to transport position. Also with hydraulic fold option.
Hydraulic Level Lift
Hydraulic level lift ensures the machine lifts out and enters the ground evenly, adding to operator ease, comfort and the performance of the machine.
Hydraulic Safety
Counter balance valves for added safety in case of a burst hose as well as relief valve to ensure no undue stress is placed on componentry.
Road Transport Options
Oversize sign, tow hitch, tail lights and spare tyre for operators doing road travel or if working in conditions that increase the chances of getting a flat.
Heavy Duty Gang Rollers
There are two on each gang that run on a stainless steel track. Easily moved from transport to working position plus easy to change gang settings.
Hydraulic Fold
Go from working position to folding position without leaving the cab. The ultimate game changer for operator ease and comfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
The short answer is that it doesn’t necessarily leave a rougher finish. All soil types and conditions are different, and there are some conditions where it is difficult to tell the difference.
The Grizzly Tiny 390 has wider disc spacing, which can leave a slightly rougher finish with larger soil clods than the Grizzly Tiny 290.
This wider disc spacing gives great weight per disc and greater penetrating ability, and some conditions and applications actually call for a larger clod size so it can remain a little rougher for a little longer, allowing clods to remain intact for longer, creating more surface area, slowing water runoff and helping water infiltrate the soil. It’s very important when harvesting rainfall.
Yes. The Grizzly Tiny 390 is designed to handle demanding land development work, including heavy land clearing, aggressive timber suckers and opening virgin country.
The wider spacing provides more clearance between the discs, end plates and scrapers. This allows more soil and crop residue to pass through the machine, reducing the likelihood of discs stalling, material jamming and improving overall soil flow.
Its hydraulic pitch control with long travel connected to hydraulic accumulators on both sides of the piston allows the machine to pitch forward and aft when it encounters an obstacle. The front and rear sections can move up and down to help the machine respond to changing ground conditions like melon holes and submerged obstacles.
The Grizzly Tiny 390 is available from the 4.8m TW024 24-plate model through to the 8.5m TW044 44-plate model. Intermediate configurations include 28, 32, 36 and 40 plates.
The absolute minimum for the 24-plate Grizzly Tiny 390 is around 250 horsepower. The larger 44-plate configuration can utilise approximately 600–650 horsepower, particularly when working deep and across the full working width.
At a target field speed of 8km/h, the largest Grizzly Tiny 390 configuration can achieve up to approximately 6.8 hectares per hour, depending on operating conditions in field speeds may vary on conditions and depth.
The Grizzly Tiny 390 uses heavy-duty RHS construction combined with carefully designed webbing, plating and interconnected frame components. The design balances weight and structural strength to create a robust machine for demanding field conditions.
Grizzly provides a two-year warranty on gang bearings and disc bearings, with a 12-month warranty on other components for workmanship and related issues.
Yes. Grizzly recommends gang bearing shields when operating the Grizzly Tiny 390 through heavy timber regrowth or deep mixing conditions. The shields help protect the bearings and housings and support longer bearing life.
Available options include oversized signs and tail lights, front soil deflectors, rear tow hitch, spare wheels, puncture-proof tyres, super singles, bolt-on filler discs, crumble rollers, trailed rollers, hydraulic folds and gang bearing shields.
The Grizzly Tiny 390 folds to 3.5m for transport, including the larger configurations. The gangs are manually moved into the transport position and locked in place.
The Grizzly Tiny 390 can be supplied with Category 2, 3, 4 or 5 drawbar tongue options. Grizzly can also accommodate some non-standard pull-tongue requirements for machines being used behind bulldozers.
Puncture-proof tyres eliminate the risk of pneumatic tyre punctures, which can be particularly useful in remote or rough land development conditions. However, they have a lower towing-speed limitation, with Grizzly recommending no more than 20km/h and even advising operators to slow down further if the tyres become too hot in certain conditions.
Yes. The bolt-on filler disc is height and laterally adjustable, allowing operators to position it to pull soil back into areas affected by the front disc throw and improve the finished surface.
Yes, hydraulic folding is available. However, Grizzly does not recommend hydraulic fold for tree or sucker country because of the location of the hydraulic cylinders may be susceptible to damage.
Yes. The Grizzly Tiny 390 is fitted with 910mm (36-inch) discs as standard.
