Pupae Bust Cotton or Develop New Farm Land

The number one choice for farmers and graziers developing new country, cleaning up suckers, maintaining buffel grass, getting country into shape in front of a laser bucket or just to get country ready for cropping.
The most popular for operators wanting to pull country into shape before getting into crop or for cattle farmers wanting a cultivation tool to go into country that needs to be developed after it has been chained and or blade ploughed.
Ideal for cutting out suckers that are coming back into your grazing country while achieving a good pasture renovation working.
With 290mm (11 ½”) disc spacing this machine gives you the best of both high weight per disc to enable penetration into hard to penetrate country as well as greater clearance for trash and timber yet the discs are close enough to get a full ‘cutout’ of the top soil ensuring there are no unworked strips.
TINY290 is most often bought to be used behind dozers, it features larger disc axles and bearings stepping up to a 2” disc axle with spherical twist in/out greasable bearing complete with a 2 year bearing warranty.
It also features 250mm x 150mm x 16mm RHS throughout the mainframe and gang beams. We never put any more than 4 discs per disc assembly.
In turn putting less load on parts and componentry as it is distributed throughout more load bearing points giving a longer and more productive life of the machine. This also makes for easier to manage maneuverability of the discs when it comes time for maintenance.
Standard with 32” scalloped discs with the option to upgrade to 36” scalloped discs, this machine is a truly awesome package.
For rough work where a lot of timber and foreign material will be present we have options to help deal with the rough environment, these include hydraulic hose guarding, various tyre options and for those that want to spread grass seed there is a rear platform that you can mount a seed box to.
We have heaps of options available to best configure this machine to your application. 3.5mtr transport width in sizes from 36 plate through to 60 plate in working widths from 5.13m through to 8.37m

Frequently Asked Questions
The Grizzly Tiny 290 is designed to handle cotton paddocks with its deep working capability, generous clearance between the discs and spools, ability to handle heavy trash loads and high working speeds. It can work to the bottom of furrows with its 295 mm tip-to-spool clearance, cut out remaining plants and break up the soil in preparation for the next crop.
Yes. The Grizzly Tiny 290 is a versatile machine that can be used for heavy development work, including removing suckers, clearing new country and working timbered or regrowth areas. It can also leave a finer finish for irrigated country and soil amelioration work.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 can comfortably work to around 250mm, with working depths of up to approximately 300mm depending on conditions and configuration. It can be fitted with 32-inch or 36-inch discs, with the larger disc providing additional clearance and depth capability.
The 290mm spacing provides a balance between penetration and finish. Compared with the narrower 230mm spacing, it provides more clearance and weight per disc while remaining close enough to produce a relatively fine finish and achieve a complete cut at shallower working depths.
The standard Grizzly Tiny 290 uses 32-inch (810mm) discs and can be upgraded to 36-inch (910mm) discs. The larger discs provide additional clearance, working depth and wear life between disc changes.
The 36-inch discs provide extra clearance, additional working depth and more wear before the discs need replacing. They can also provide more drive in tougher or sticky conditions, helping the discs continue rotating through high organic matter or sticky soil.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 range starts with the 28-plate TY028 at approximately 4.05m working width and extends to the 60-plate TY060 at approximately 8.37m. There are multiple configurations between these sizes to suit different operating conditions and horsepower requirements.
Weight per disc varies by configuration. The 28-plate TY028 has approximately 475kg per disc, while the larger 60-plate TY060 has approximately 285kg per disc.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 uses 250mm × 150mm × 16mm RHS throughout the machine, along with reinforcing plates and gussets where required. This heavy-duty construction is designed to provide the strength needed for demanding applications.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 uses a 2-inch disc axle and bearing design that is suited to demanding ground conditions and handles underground obstacles such as tree roots well. However, operators should adjust their speed to the conditions to reduce the intensity of impacts.
Options include bearing shields, 36-inch discs, different pull tongues, oversized signs and lights, soil deflectors, rear tow hitches, spare wheels, bolt-on filler discs, puncture-proof tyres, flotation tyres, super singles, crumble rollers and hydraulic options.
Bearing shields help protect the bearings from sticks, rocks and organic material being pushed against the bearing. They can also reduce wear around the bearing housing and are particularly useful in demanding conditions.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 folds to approximately 3.5m for transport, although some of the largest configurations can extend marginally beyond this.
The machine has four gangs that fold individually. Manual folding takes approximately 10–15 minutes, while hydraulic folding takes only a minute or 2. TY052 TY056 and TY060 when fitted with 36” discs, increase transport marginally, with the TY060 being 3.8m.
Horsepower requirements depend on the configuration and operating conditions. Grizzly indicates an absolute minimum of approximately 250 horsepower for the smallest Grizzly Tiny 290, with the larger TY060 configuration requiring 600+ horsepower.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 has a two-year warranty on the gang bearings, with parts covered under warranty during that period according to Grizzly’s warranty terms.
Deep working with the Grizzly Tiny 290 can improve access for rainfall into compacted soil. After deep working, subsequent rain can penetrate more effectively, particularly in areas affected by stock compaction, repeated rainfall compaction or machine traffic.
The hydraulic pitch control uses accumulators to provide protection when working across uneven ground such as gilgai or melon holes. Operators can adjust the pitch while moving, allowing pressure to be shifted between the front and rear of the machine to fine-tune the working level.
The Grizzly Tiny 290 provides a step up in robustness, strength, working depth, clearance and weight per disc. It uses 2-inch bearing axles, larger axle bolts and thicker end plates. Grizzly particularly recommends considering the Grizzly Tiny 290 when working with more than 500–550 horsepower, working deep or operating in irrigation.
The primary difference is the disc spacing. The Grizzly Tiny 390 has wider spacing, giving it more clearance and weight per disc. This can improve penetration because there is less steel being pushed through the soil, while the Grizzly Tiny 290’s closer spacing generally provides a finer finish.
The Grizzly Tiny 230H is positioned as an all-rounder for general cultivation and can be suitable where horsepower is around 550 or below, particularly when future work is expected to involve more cropping. The Grizzly Tiny 290 becomes more relevant where greater depth, clearance, weight per disc and heavy-duty capability are required.
